Leadership
Front Royal-Warren County
WHAT IS LEADERSHIP FRONT ROYAL-WARREN COUNTY?
Leadership Front Royal-Warren County is a professional development and education program that provides an in-depth view of the inner workings of Front Royal and Warren County. The program will help both current and emerging leaders understand the dynamics of the community and the role leadership plays in its long-term success.
The 9-month program includes class sessions once a month, typically on the second Thursday. Topics covered include Local & State Government, Education, Public Safety, Justice & Law Enforcement, Local Economy, Community Organizations, Tourism, History, Art & Culture, and Health & Human Needs.
The curriculum informs participants about our community’s history, government, economy, social issues, needs, and opportunities along with the existing processes for dealing with them. It facilitates dialogue among participants and current community, business, and non-profit leaders. It also encourages participants to engage in activities that contribute to the growth and betterment of the community.
In addition to the monthly meetings, participants are required to complete three outside activities, such as attending local government meetings and/or community events.
Leadership Front Royal-Warren County’s objective is to have participants emerge from the program with a heightened level of community awareness, a strengthened network, and insights that they can apply in the workplace and beyond.
