CHAMBER NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS
Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe that the holidays are over and another year has passed. It’s true what they say, time flies when you’re having fun!
We’re excited here at the Chamber because 2015 marks our 75th year of serving as the voice of business in our community. Many things have happened along the way and we are planning to celebrate all of those wonderful accomplishments and challenges throughout the year in various ways as we move forward and continue to work towards our mission of promoting and supporting our membership by serving as its voice, providing relevant programs, encouraging leadership and creating a strong business climate and a vibrant community.
As we move into 2015, I’d like to encourage each of you to make the most of your membership. Take advantage of the vast networking, education, marketing and business opportunities available to members. There’s something for everyone and participation is paramount! Business After Hours is held the 3rd Tuesday of every month at a different member business. Brown Bag Luncheons and seminars are held monthly to provide motivation and education for our business owners and staff. State of the Community Luncheons are held quarterly to provide the most relevant and up-to-date information to our membership and community. Chamber committees are a great way to be involved – View the list here.
Sponsorships are an effective way to gain exposure and increase business. The Chamber has a number of sponsorships available including the Chamber sponsorship program, Wine & Craft Festival, Brew & Blues, Annual Dinner, GOLFtoberfest and individual event opportunities. Chamber staff is waiting to meet with you to help find your perfect sponsorship fit.
A valuable benefit of membership is that you can submit information to go in e-connections each week in the “Member News” section. It’s a great way to get information to out in a simple, reliable manner and it only takes a quick email to email@example.com to make it happen. We ask that all submissions are sent by Monday at noon and that they are in paragraph format with appropriate links and contact information.
Keep in mind that with chamber membership comes a built-in network of qualified professionals who can assist you. Our membership includes pretty much every type of profession you could hope for in getting a new business off the ground or keeping your business successful. Access to our Chamber network of professionals is one of many benefits of membership. Be sure to use members first!
Wishing you a positive, prosperous and successful 2015. At the Chamber, we stand ready to assist you with making this your best year yet!
